Quick Sewing machine cake

This was the cutest cake to make, a sweet lady from church  called and

asked if I could make this cake for a fantastic friend of hers that loves to sew!

Well of course we can do that!!!! I truly enjoyed making the cake. I did not have a great amount of time so I made the sewing machine out of rice kripsy treats covered with fondant.

Just love using flowers along with the cake topper, just so elegant with the red draping down,

just absolutely stunning!!! 

The grooms cake was equally amazing, let me just tell you the flavors the groom requested

Lemon Cake with Blueberry filling, let me just say my kitchen smelled amazing!!! had to make a little extra cake for my family!!! loved the flavors together!

What a precious Wedding cake with the cascading fondant roses,

the bride just wanted a small cake to feed 75 people, she loved the roses so this is what we did!!! turned out amazing.

 

Catching up with this Once Upon a Time Cake!

  Oh dear has it really been 2 months since I have updated my blog!!!!!

Well things as always are crazy busy around our house!

Lets catch up...

Graduation happened then it was off to the races-----with family vacations, family weddings at the beach, cakes, cakes and mooooooorrrrrreeeeee cakes!!!

Things are slowing down so hopefully I can be a little more consistent with my posts!

Lets start with this super cool, Once Upon a Time cake

I just loved making this cake, I usually do not use fondant on my cakes, but for this cake I obviously needed to use it for the cool airbrush technique.

Hand made red fondant roses airbrushed with a touch of black.

Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Quads Graduate!!

And off to New Adventures...

The time has come and the children have graduated.

A sad but exciting time!!!!

Here they are walking onto the field for their graduation ceremony.

Awe... don't the girls look cute holding hands,

Bradley, Preston & Shelby

were on one side of the aisle.

and Stephanie was on the other.

We teased her and said you should drag your chair over

and sit beside Shelby. But she didn't, she just sat by her lonesome!!

We are so Extremely PROUD of these "4"

we can not wait to see what you all become!!!!

Who would want a "Naked Wedding Cake" you ask,

well when ya wanna have cake, but you just don't like frosting!

This my friends is what you do.

The bride has a good friend that makes her favorite

blackberry jam, so that is what we put in between the layers along with a nice whipped topping!

Garnished with beautiful flowers & lavender,

dusted with powder sugar and voila!!!

Absolutely Stunning, don't you think?

  June is the Season for Weddings Galore!!!!

Here is another precious wedding cake I made!

Simple cake adorned with the same flowers as the bridal boquet!

We had fun with the grooms cake, he went to Florida so of course we put their mascot on the cake!!

well the bride went to LSU, so if you look at the cupcakes, we had to put a few of the LSU cupcakes in there!! (One must represent after all)

  Wedding cakes are so amazing, I enjoy making them so very much.  I may not like the stress that comes with making the wedding cake, but the joy when delivering and getting to see the bride and groom cut the cake with such love in their eyes just makes my heart flutter!!!

The simplest cake, and then you add the flowers and topper and viola!!

I may have posted this cake before, but I was looking through cake folders and saw this again,

and thought about how much fun it was to make!

I was so Blessed getting to make this cake for our former Youth Directors Wife, Glenda!

How amazing is it that a girl from West Texas that now lives in The  North Georgia Mountains, has the opportunity to make a cake for such an amazing lady that now lives near Atlanta, just a little ways from me!  I love FaceBook and that awesome opportunity it gives you to reconnect and stay connected with friends and family near and far!!!  

the cake is iced with buttercream and the zebra print is applied using a stencil.

the tissue is fondant, really could of used Rice Paper, but didn't have any at that moment.
