wreath kit?

wrapping the black tinsel around the wreath,
simply use a little hot glue about 3 inches at a time

I did it kind of tight and had to undo and redo.

Designs by LaMuir ~ Blue Tractor Cake!

Just love getting cake orders from people I have never met!!
This cake was ordered by a lady that works at the hospital with a facebook friend. Now keep in mind I don't even really know the facebook friend, my husband works with the hospital, and before their Medi-vac helicopter base was built the pilots and med crews were stationed in the Labor & Delivery unit of our local hospital.  The Helicopter pad is stationed right out the side door of the Labor & Delivery unity.
Having said all of that, a lady that knows my husband requested to be a friend on facebook, and of course I accepted, well she follows me and sees all of the cakes that I bake, and gave my name to her co-worker saying that I make amazing cakes!!!

Well today is the day I delivered the Blue Tractor cake for my new friend Lisa's son Jax!!
Lisa and her husband were so excited that I was able to make the cake that their little boy wanted!

Cant wait to hear if they liked the taste!!!

Thought I would give our little blue tractor a name.....
How about Jax, just like the birthday boy?

What a super cute presentation!!!!
Our little blue tractor cake fit right in!!

Designs by LaMuir ~ Punch Card Fun "Happy Halloween Kitty"!

Isn't this the cutest little card you ever did see??? I cased (CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything)!!! I was finally able to get back into the routine of Stampin' at our local library.
Last year I had to stop my monthly Stamp Class, due to yet another back surgery.  Well I am so happy that I have finally been able to get back to the Library!!!!

I have been a little busy lately with childrens sports, music, church, baking cakes and my little part time job that has me working 4 days a week. But now that fall is upon us, it seems that life is starting to slow down a bit.  Oh no did I really just say that?  Well I guess we all know what is going to happen now....I am going to get soooo busy I won't know what to do!

You will have to check out my class schedule and if you live in the are, come on over!!!

To make this card I used the Large Oval Punch, punching 5 ovals Pumpkin Orange Card/Stock
punching 1 oval using Basic Black, two of the 3/4" holes for the paws, 3 pretty in pink hearts and 2 black hearts, the ears are made out of the black and pink hearts layered on one another and turned upside down!  Used the white uni-ball gel pen. for the greenery under the pumpkin, I used the fun fall framelits  # 135856

On the envelope I stamped with the Fall Fest photopolymer stamp set # 135194  $15.95 really too cute!
the great thing about Stampin' Up! is that they coordinate everything! soooooooooo you can actually buy the Bundle and get both for $34.75 and save 15%!!!!!!!!!!!!  love it!!

Designs by LaMuir ~ 50th Wedding Anniversary Cake!

  Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary!

WoW, could you imagine being married for 50 years?? What an amazing Blessing that would be.  A friend of mine whose son is the Quarter Back for our High School Football Team, asked me if I could make a cake for her parents.  She said, "back when they got married, they didn't have big celebrations". She went on to say "I want them to have the wedding they never knew they wanted"!

This is the cake that I made, and let me tell you the rest of the reception hall was amazing!!! all of the ladies of the church got together and made the most amazing food and decorated everything!  It was truly an amazing event!!!

The Parents were so very excited, that anyone even thought of their anniversary.  But let me tell you, this couple has been such a blessing to so many, that everyone just wanted to Serve and Bless them for once.

They totally enjoyed the cake, cant wait to post the pictures of them cutting the cake!

I was a little sad that I was not able to stay for the celebration.
I usually always take one of my daughters with me for cake deliveries.
This delivery I took Shelby, and she had to get back home and ready to go to a wedding with her boyfriend and his family. So there was no time for me to stay. But I have so enjoyed hearing everyone say how beautiful the cake was and how delicious it was!!
Makes this crazy cake ladies heart happy!!

Designs by LaMuir ~ Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary!

Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary!!!

What a great night we had celebrating our anniversary earlier this week.
I had to work, so Stuart fixed dinner, pork loin, green beans and potatoes.
Children were at various practices and meetings,
table was set for 6, but it was just the 2 of us for dinner!
We had a nice quiet dinner!
Remembering back over the years, laughed so hard we cried at points!
it was a great dinner!

Happy Anniversary, here's to another 25 !!

Designs by LaMuir ~ Friday Night Football Goooo REBELS!!

Friday Night Football!!!!

Hmmmm~Awwwwwee, I love the fall! The weather starts to cool down a bit, you get that fresh crisp air in the mornings and evenings, the leaves are starting to fall and change colors...and the best part of all, Friday Night High School Football!!!!!  Friday Night Football is what we do on Friday Nights!!!

Have ya'll ever seen the movie Friday Night Lights?  Well it showcases Friday Night Football in a small West Texas area Midland/Odessa Texas! My husband and I are from Midland Tx. and let me tell you that is exactly how it is back home, it is all about Friday Night Football!
My husband played football for a smaller school out in the country, and I went to a small Christian School in town. So we were not a part of the mix that the show is about, but it was still a very competitive sport to be in!!

Now we live in a small town in North Ga, where the Rebel Flag flies proudly, and when we score they still shoot a cannon and everyone in earshot hears it and starts cheering!!!
Both Boys are on the team, and are so proud to be a part of our local "Rebel Pride" on game days, all the high schoolers gather at a rally point and drive around town flying their Rebel Flags, it is GREAT!!!!

This weeks game is on the road, with one our big rivals, so wish us luck!!!
GO REBELS!!!!!

Designs by LaMuir ~ Keep Calm and .....

Happy 25th Anniversary to my Husband!

Here is one of the cards that I made for my husband, a little bit of Helicopter - Pilot humor.
Sometimes things get rough, and you just need to "Keep Calm and Auto Rotate"
For a helicopter if something goes wrong and you loose engine power you can simply glide to the ground for hopefully a safe landing.

Now days everyone seems to have the "Keep Call and ....." sayings, so I thought we should have one too.  Life is never as perfect as we would like, but we just need to Keep Calm!!!

I really liked the card so I made it the same size as a 5x7 frame, and after he read the inside, we put it in a frame and sat it on the shelf as well.

Designs by La Muir ~ Helicopter Framed Art

Happy 25th Anniversary to My Husband!!!
I love making gifts for family and friends!! For me there is just nothing better then giving a gift that was handmade from the heart.  It lets the person receiving the gift know that you spent time making something special just for them!!
My husband is a helicopter pilot, and I thought hmmmm.... I bet he would enjoy some framed art either for the house or the "Man Cave" that he and the boys are working on.  It is going to have an Aviation Theme!!! I didn't have a stamp for the helicopter so I chose the image from some clip art online, I just did the copy & paste for the image, and then saw a cute saying and just picked the font I liked best and voila!!!

Here I used some Stampin' Up! chalk to color the Helicopter to match the one he is currently flying.

To give the framed art a little bit of a finished look, I simply took a piece of Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card stock, cut out the center to give it the mat look.

Found an inexpensive frame and there you go, something very simple but from the heart!!!
He loved it and now it sits on our book shelves waiting to go in to the Aviation themed "Man Cave"!!

Such a fun, inexpensive, and easy way to show someone how much you care! And remember when it is handmade, it makes it even more special!!

Designs by LaMuir ~ Never Forgotten 9/11 Pray for our nation

Today is a day that will not soon be forgotten! I wish I could say it was for a good reason, but I can not.  My heart is heavy today for all that lost their lives, saddened for the families that lost loved ones!

I am very grateful for the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the different Branches of the Military! The sacrifices that are made by the service members and their families are tremendous!  And yet it seems they serve and sacrifice daily in order to keep our families safe state side!!!

My family has sacrificed as well, sacrificed many Birthdays with out Daddy, School Functions, Sporting events for the children, Anniversaries and the list goes on and on!!! Lots of heart aches along the way! But we Thank the Lord that our Soldier came home! There are so many families that have suffered the ultimate sacrifice! Their loved ones did not return!

Please take a moment and say a prayer for the families affected by 9/11, such a needless tragedy!
Pray for those Service Members that are still serving and fighting the fight to keep all of us safe her in the Great Land of the Free!!!

"Courage is rightly esteemed the first of
human qualities, because it is the quality
that guarantees all others".
~Winston Churchill~
Love this card, even thought it is from a retired Stamp Set, I still use it today!!!
May God Bless America!!!
