Snow in March 2013!

 

O' what fun we had this past March,

It snowed!!!

we had a great time, after getting everyone back to their homes (the boys had friends spend the night), the girls had spent the night with different friends, and I had a morning of Stamping guests!

all of my ladies got home safely, Thankfully I was able to get the boys friends home, and

Stuart was able to leave work for a little bit to help me round up the girls that were in different areas of the county! 



Then once home, everyone had a great time!!!!

Preston was having our big yellow lab Copper sit and then catch snow balls!!

He did great!

 

Yummy BBQ!!!!

 

Here in the mountains the winters last a bit longer then what we are use to.

Not long ago, I thought I really am in the mood for some Beef Brisket!

Sooooo Brisket it was for dinner, a good ole' Texas BBQ!

Nice cut of beef, cooked alllllllllll day long, basting throughout the day! 

 

Then right before we serve, we lather it up with some great Thick & Hearty BBQ sauce, that I have so carefully doctored up!!! (its a secret, I cant tell ya)

and then when we are ready to serve, it starts falling apart!

and there is our Shelby!!!!

I think she is happy about the brisket what do you think???

embossing the Old Olive frame for this card, it turned out great, I just

love the cute doily dress!

just love it, and of course you notice the cute stamp at the corner and

on the envelope!! See how it matches the DSP!! that is because

Stampin' UP! coordinates everything for you!!! I just love it!

 

Cut little stationary box, very inexpensive to make, using only 3 pieces of

Card Stock, 2 of the So Saffron, and 1 Whisper White!

The Lovely Letter Alphabet stamp set is just timeless!!!

and Great fun was had by all!

Here is a little funny story for ya,

Sunday evening Dec. 30, 2012,

I start to sit down at church for the evening service,

I notice that I have missed a text from a sweet dear friend.

She needs a wedding cake for Monday afternoon (2pm)Dec. 31,2012!!!!

 

Well I know who the cake is for and I just can not say no!

So she sends me a text or two of some cakes to choose from, and knowing the bride,

and the vintage pink she wanted, this is what I came up with!

they just loved it and little did I know it matched her dress and bouquet perfectly! 

 



 

She was one happy bride.

 

Not too shabby for only having 22 hours to make

the wedding cake of their dreams!!!

 

Then the next week some ladies that she worked with down at the

state capital in Atlanta, wanted to know if the I could make her shower cake,

well of course I couldn't say no (I don't think that word is in my vocabulary).

 

After seeing the bride, in her dress with her bouquet, this is what

I made for the shower cake!

She just absolutely loved it!!!!

I felt overwhelmed with such great joy, that I was able to be

such an important part of their great day!!!

  Cute little gift I did for a friend,

found this great little frame at Hobby Lobby!!

They always have such great sales!

Used Stampin' Up! Fabric, put some quilt batting in it,

and voila ~ we have a Pin Cushion!!!

 

My friend Kris is an amazing seamstress, and when I saw this cute frame I thought of her!
