I know Valentines Day was last week, but I had to share this special project with you.
Our church wanted to do something special for the couples that have been married for 50 or more years. So the idea was to call them up front of the congregation and congratulate them, they all received a small gift and then our church photographer (Darcy S.) took pictures of each couple.
She developed the pictures and then gave them to me so that I could create something special for their picture to go in.
This is what I came up with!!
on the left of the picture, was our verse for the week.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three,
but the greatest of these is love. 2Corinthians 13:13
I used the Label Collection framelits to cut out the image,
and on the right I took the top note die and cut out the red card stock,
and wanting to coordinate the two sides, I also used the Label Collection framelit
to cut out the middle of the top note to make the frame.
then on the front, I actually embossed using a retired embossing folder,
but when looking online for ideas, I came across this one and just had to case. LeeAnne P. I think is the stamper that I cased (Create And Share Everything = Case)
the stamp set I used was I heart heats, then used the rhinestone jewels to add the bling!!
Ya just gotta have bling, especially when creating a Valentine Project!!
Used some old retired satin ribbon, Real Read in color
and then used the decorative label punch for the label on the front of the card,
so they could remember the reason and date.
I made 20 of them, and I really am happy with the way they turned out!
The couples received them today and were very pleased with them!!!
