Masculine Card ~ Lovely as a Tree

We all need a masculine card every now and then.
Here is a nice clean card, it can be for a Birthday, Sympathy, Get Well or Thinking of you.
The stamp set Lovely as a Tree is just a classic, it has been around forever, and probably will for some time to come. I really like this color combo, the Basic Gray and Pear Pizzaz!!
had a bit of old ribbon left from a previous catalog, so decided to use it.

Day Dreams!!

With Spring upon us, everything is starting to come to life outside!
Just loved it and when I saw this card from a dear Stampin' Up! friend of mine
Tamra D. from NC. I just new I had to make one!! Although mine is a tad bit different,
it really just makes you think of those hot summer days when you just
lay done on the grass and look up in the sky and daydream.
Makes me just sit here at the computer and take a nice big breath!!!
Lazy Summer Days ~ Oh I can not wait!!!

Used a little masking technique. I took a scrap piece of card stock, used the flower fair framelits to cut out much sunshine, then I placed it over my Whisper White card stock and sponged it on using a little finger dauber. Then I just sponged on the light blue to give it that nice sky look.

Used the Clear Mount Sheltering Tree # 137163
Feel Goods Stamp set #129684
Sponge Daubers (pack of 5) #133773
Flower Fair Framelits (for the sunshine) #133731
**I generally use the Clear Mount or Photopolymer Stamps

Spring is in the Air Card!!

Spring is in the Air!!!
Cute & Simple card, just what we like!
Stampin' Up! is amazing in the way they match and coordinate everything.
Love this flower, but who wants to cut it out?  Not me, I don't have time for that,
so we just pull out our handy dandy Big Shot and use the coordinating framelits
to cut our our stamped flower!!
I know you can not really see it, but right in the middle of the flower is a Rhinestone Jewel!!

Used the Amazing Flower Patch Stamp Set # 134207
I just love the Calypso Coral card stock #122925
 Calypso Coral Ink #126983
Garden Green Ink #126973
Rhinestone Basic Jewels # 119246

Stampin' with my Mother~in~law!!

More Card making with my Mother-in-Law.
Stephanie had given me a card similar to this for my birthday,
my mother in law loved it, and recreated using our retired DSP and Dazzling Diamonds.

She wanted a masculine card, and loved the Lovely as a Tree Stamp set.
we stamped the tree in Old Olive Ink, wiped off the Old Olive from the base of the tree with our fingers and then colored the base of the tree with Chocolate Chip brown using our Stampin' Up! markers. Then we stamped the tree front and center on the Whisper White card stock, and stamped it 2 other times without inking the stamp back up! This technique would be called the stamping off technique
